The Credit Union was chartered in 1950 for the purpose of offering a benefit to our members (both savers and borrowers) that gives them an economic advantage over other financial institutions with the same or similar services. The Credit Union's intent is to demonstrate care and concern for our members and to make a visible, positive contribution to their financial well-being.
Members are united by common bonds and democratically operate the Credit Union under federal regulation.
Members elect from among themselves the volunteers to serve on the Board of Directors, which sets policies and establishes bylaws for the Credit Union. The job of running the day-to-day operation of the Credit Union is delegated to the professional staff.
